15 May:Bryce Canyon Nat’l Park, UT. After two weeks exploring and hiking Grand Canyon Nat’l Park, AZ, we moved here one week ago for more of the same. Our last visit to both parks was ten years ago so it seems new. Bryce Canyon is all downhill from a high plateau rim such that the return trek is always uphill. Yesterday’s 4.0-mile hike ended as a 9/10-mile slog on a very steep and sketchy trail with seemingly endless switchbacks which had us pondering who was going to have to carry whom back to the top, LOL
