05 May (Tue): Bryce Canyon Nat’l Park, UT, to 20 May after two weeks in Grand Canyon Nat’l Park, AZ, and 15.8 hiking miles along the South Rim Trail (in four segments), our fourth two-week visit. We still marvel at the canyon’s breathtaking grandeur. Weather was mostly sunny, 50s/60s day & 30s night, one day of rain/snow flurries. Today’s elevation gain from Glen Canyon Dam harnessing Lake Powell at Page, AZ, to a US-89 summit in UT = 4,062’. Nancy’s uphill steering and gearing talents are unequaled. |
